Books on the Bay – Departure My Collection

Being a golf nut, it was natural for my books to collect a series on the topic. In fact, I have thirty-two. This collection is eclectic in that it covers all aspects of the game is over written. Some of these books were given to me, but most were purchased by my years of hunting wild game. (Or is it a game makes you angry?)

In the interest of other golf nuts looking for a good book on the game read this, I sharedcollection of topics. Of course one can argue my categorization, but should be helpful to those who provide a particular aspect of the game. Here in my collection is divided into the following categories.

• History (Ancient writings on the game)

• Remarks and collections of quotations from writers and readers

• Teaching

• The spiritual side of the game

• Course Architecture

• Comedy

History: This isreprints of three of the oldest known books on the game.

Rules for the Thistle Golf Club by John Cundell, 1824 This is a copy of the first book on golf, which is an attempt to determine a history of the game and the rules applicable at the time the book was written.

Some comments on the Golf Tour of Robert Chambers, 1862 This book is the third book ever released on the game and give thoughts to Mr. Chamberseducation and laws.

Tee and Bernard Darwin, 1911. A collection of essays by Bernard Darwin. Darwin was a first-class player who has never been his passion for the game is lost. He was known for not giving a player. Once, when asked if he went to interview a new British Open Champion to attend, he snorted, "My readers know why they think that they won, why not make a fool believes he won.

The next category is a collection of writings,comments and anecdotes by and about golfers of every kind and shape.

A passion for golf, by bishops Schuyler, 1998. A collection of songs written by the best sports writers of the past fifty years reveal the inseparable relationship between game and life.

Great Golf Stories, edited by Robert Trent Jones, 1982. A comprehensive collection of writing about the game. It provides the best written with acommentary by one of the greatest architects of the course.

"And then Jack said to Arnie," by Don Wade, 1991. Don Wade is the professional tour and the collection of true stories about players and have played since 1970. This is a collection of his stories.

The quotable Golfer, edited by Gary McCord, 2000. This book is a rich collection of quotations that reflect the history, tradition, fear and excitement of the game by Will RogersTiger Woods.

Golf instructions. No collection would be complete without books on teaching. I never had all the books on education I got, but the few that I left a couple really good.

Tiger Woods – How do I play golf with Tiger Woods, 2001. Tiger Woods how to play the game. Should I say more?

Classic Golf Instruction by Christopher Obetz, 2005. Lessons from Jack Nicklaus and otherwith drawings by Anthony Ravielli wonderful. Ravielli plan to reward the player with an incredible view of the wave of the body to work.

Harvey Penick's Little Red Book by Harvey Penick, 1992. Harvey Penick notebooks from his years of teaching. This gives his practical wisdom to cut and technical help golfers play their best.

Fit for Golf with Gary Player, 1995. A hundred years that will improvegames.

Elements score by Raymond Floyd, 1998. Raymond Floyd lessons on how the ball into the cup with the fewest strokes.

See IT & sink Dr.Craig Farnsworth, 1997. A book of instructions on how to improve themselves through education to get the best lines and put the ball in the hole saw.

The impact zone by Bobby Clampett, 2007. This book is a guide only to understand a golfer how to learnimprove his swing his club to get a better effect on his ball.

Think like Tiger by John Andrisani, 2002. Analysis of Tiger Woods mental game based on John Andrisani experience as a teacher at age 10-18 Tigers and its interaction with family and friends Tiger in years.

Golf course architecture is its special nature of the design. Here are some books on it written by some of the great masters of art andas one of the younger generation.

Golf By Design by Robert Trent Jones Jr. 1993 Jones brings golfers from tee to green details on how the architects prepared and challenges the player offers strategies for addressing these challenges to offer.

Golf, as it was meant to be played by Michael Fay, 2000. Scotsman Donald Ross, born more than 400 design courses in the United States and Canada. Michael Fay This book takes the reader on a journey through 18 Rossbrilliant design, selected from the holes in the U.S.

Course she never fails to Donald J. Ross, 1996. The comments by Donald Ross lost on architecture, of course, maintenance and all the others. These comments were written before 1914, to be published later, but for some reason was never published. They came to light after the death of Ross in 1948.

Sandy Lyle will take you to championship courses of Scotland Sandy Lyle, Bob Ferrier, 1982. Sandy Lyle leads the reader along the fairways and greens, where the challenges in six major courses in Scotland. More photos and a diagram is shown for each hole is described.

Anatomy of a golf Doaks Tom, 1992. Tom Doaks discuss his career and explains the strategy behind a decision on a field of architecture and applied for the course to be played.

The spiritual side of the game.> Golf you can play wow players. It is said that this game reflects all the positives and negatives of life. No wonder that so many people had written. Here are some books that relate to the spiritual side of the game.

and the Spirit of M. Golf Scott Peck, 1999. In this book M. Scott Peck wrote a book for beginners and champions of both. It goes beyond the mechanics of the deeper issues to explore ways of managingpsychological emotional and spiritual aspects of this beautiful, maddening, deflating, and inspiring games.

The Golfer's Guide to the Meaning of Life by Gary Player, 2001. Gary Player lessons fifteen "Why play golf" with "sportsmanship" and "motivation" that ends with "the eternal game."

Golf Dreams by John Updike, 1996. John Updike reflects on his game and mental challenges.

For GolfEnlightenment by Deepak Chapra, 2003. This book is a fascinating story about Adam, who in a terrible game around when he was a young teaching pro named Leda. In seven short lessons, but deep, they teach you the essence of the game that says a lot about life itself.

Good trip robbed by John Feinstein, 1995. John Feinstein has written an account of the life of a professional golfer on the PGA Tour

Link by Lorne Rubenstein, 1991.Links are the essence and the mystery and intrigue in the game, and the magic that attracts people from around the world.

Finally, golf humor. If you play regularly, you have a sense of humor about the game and especially on the game to have. Here are some of the funniest books ever written.

Divots, Shanks, Gimmes, Mulligan and Dive Chili Glen Waggoner, 1993. The first half of this book is about life on tour pro Waggoneras a writer and observer. The second half concerns the life of a hacker, throwing clubs and everything else.

Golfmanship by Stephen Potter, 1968. Humorous lectures on maneuvers and tricks a player can use to win.

Down Hill Lie by Carl Hiassen, 2008. Carl Hiassen chronicle of his shaky return to the game after an absence of 30 years and the ensuing demolition of his self-esteem will roll with laughter. A book for all lovers ofgames.

Golf a la Carte by Döbereiner Peter, 1991. A collection of some of the best works of Peter Döbereiner, doyen of golf writers and certainly one of the funniest men ever taken a pen and swing a club.

The Art of Golf in principle by Michael Green, 1967. humorous anecdotes about a hacker gained on the job.

And maybe the price for my collection of golf humor:

GolfOmnibus by PG. Wodehouse, 1914. Thirty humorous stories from the fairway and green on the master sandbox club house of fiction comic.

I hope you enjoy looking through my collection of profits. This should keep you more about the game in a while ', and I hope that gives you a few laughs along the road.
